Informative

Informative or expository writing seeks to inform or expose something essential but also interesting regarding its subject. Examples include essays of definition, process analysis (how to) like recipes, profiles of people or places, and reference entries like those on Wikipedia. Informative writing is often essential in providing background within longer, research-based works. It does not usually seek to persuade the audience of any specific perspective.
